Two Support Workers required in Ashington to support a friendly 16-year-old young man with social and leisure activities
We are looking to recruit two Support Workers to provide social and leisure support for a 16-year-old young man who lives in the Ashington area.
The young man has a diagnosis of Autism, ADHD, learning difficulties, and Tourette’s. He would benefit from Support Workers who are calm, patient, reliable and able to take a person-centred approach.
The role will involve supporting him to access activities in the community, enjoy time outside of the home and build confidence with social and leisure opportunities. An understanding of Autism and safeguarding would be helpful.
There are 12 hours available each week in total. These hours will be shared between two workers.
Hours are required on Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday between 11am and 2pm, and on Wednesday between 5.30pm and 8.30pm.
Some flexibility may be required by agreement.
The rate of pay is £14.67 per hour.
Applicants must be car drivers with access to their own vehicle. The successful applicants will be required to complete the relevant checks and training for the role.
