Location

Job Details
I’m a quirky, creative 40-year-old woman looking for a reliable and friendly Personal Assistant to support me with everyday life and getting out and about.

I have a professional background in theatre, performing arts and fitness, and I’m definitely a little rock ’n’ roll around the edges! I’m a smoker, liberal-minded, open-minded and enjoy people who don’t take themselves too seriously. I love creativity, good conversation, having a laugh and trying new things.

I’ve recently moved into a new home in Swanton Morley, which I share with my adult son and my small, very friendly dog.

I’m autistic and have ME, and I use a wheelchair when I’m out.

I’m looking for someone who can help me make the most of my independence and get involved in the things I enjoy, rather than simply providing traditional care.

There may be some assistance with household activities such as taking bins out etc

Duties to include:
Helping me get out into the local area and explore new places

Accompanying me shopping, on trips and to activities

Supporting me to enjoy the outdoors and accessible countryside walks

Helping with everyday household tasks and errands

Providing practical support when my energy is limited

Personal care limited to assistance

Helping me prepare clothing

getting the bathroom ready when needed

Supporting me to maintain my independence and do things at my own pace

I’m looking for someone who is kind, reliable, patient, practical, open-minded and has a good sense of humour. You don’t necessarily need a formal care background – personality, common sense and a genuinely supportive attitude are just as important to me.
