Location: Wylam, Northumberland, NE41

Pay: £16.26 per hour weekdays | £17.38 per hour weekends

The Role
We are looking for an experienced, caring and reliable Bank Personal Assistant to join our friendly and
supportive care team.
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for flexible bank work with the potential to pick up regular overtime and additional shifts.
We currently have gaps in our rota and are looking for someone who can offer flexibility and is happy to work a variety of shifts throughout the week, including weekdays, weekends and night shifts.

Available Shifts
Shifts can include:
-Weekdays: 08:30–16:00 on Mondays and Tuesdays.
-Evenings: 16:00–20:00 on weekdays.
-Weekends: 09:00–18:00 on Saturdays and Sundays.
-Night shifts: Available seven days a week.

How Bank Shifts Work
Our rota is planned months in advance, giving you the opportunity to see upcoming shifts and plan your
availability. Available bank shifts are uploaded to our staff app, where bank workers can view and claim shifts that suit their availability. Although bank hours are not guaranteed, there are opportunities to pick up regular additional work, particularly for someone who can be flexible and cover a variety of shifts.
We would particularly welcome applications from people with previous care experience who are confident working as part of a team, reliable and committed to providing high-quality care.

About the Role
The role involves supporting a 25-year-old woman with a learning disability and additional health needs. She
communicates non-verbally using gestures, facial expressions, symbols and a VOCA (Voice Output
Communication Aid).
Support includes personal care, feeding, mobility and helping her enjoy activities and days out.
She loves swimming, music, dancing, walks, trips out, books and jigsaws.

-Trustworthy and respectful.
-Motivated with a positive, can-do attitude.
- A strong communicator.
-Able to work independently and as part of a small team.
-Able to take direction from the Team Leader.
-Genuinely committed to providing excellent care.
Previous experience in care is preferred, particularly experience supporting people with learning disabilities and additional communication needs. Training will be provided.
